Wavelength, beam, flux, then the housing

UV-A reveals. It does not paint.

A blacklight emits long-wave ultraviolet, here 365 nm or 395 nm. Fluorescent dyes, pigments and some minerals absorb that energy and re-emit it as visible color. The lamp does not tint the room. If the material cannot fluoresce at that wavelength, the room stays dark.

365 nm and 395 nm

395 nm is the usual band for sports paint, fabric, décor and escape-room treatments. 365 nm is the band to specify when a coating, adhesive, ink or inspection standard names it. The modular series is built in both. The dual-source downlight is 395 nm only.

On a shared datasheet the radiant-flux column is a pair. Read it as the two wavelength options, in printed order, not as a range of one lamp.

60° and 120°

60° is the tighter beam for a high mast or a focused spot. 120° is the wide wash for a lower truss, a side position or a hall. The photometric shape is a planning input. It is not a brightness setting.

Electrical watts are not UV watts

A 1600 W 496TG draws 1600 W from the supply and is published at 559.1 / 727.5 W of radiant flux. Layouts, cure estimates and “how bright is the glow” questions all belong to the radiant number. The electrical number sizes the cable and the driver.

Heat, glass and IP

Wavelength holds when the board stays inside its thermal window and the optical face stays clean. Outdoor series are rated −40 °C to +40 °C ambient. IP66 covers the high-power modular lines, the portable work lights and the line light. IP65 covers the 5747 family, XYTG and PGTG. Downlights and spots are IP20 indoor fittings.

External drivers keep a hot, replaceable part off the head. Internal drivers simplify the mast. Both are deliberate, and both are labeled on the series.
